Matcha Mascarpone Recipe

There’s something about matcha that always feels grounding. It’s not just a drink, it’s an affirmation to the person you want to become for the day from the moment you wake up.

But lately, I’ve been craving a version that feels a little richer, softer something that turns my usual morning matcha into a treat. That’s how this Matcha Mascarpone Latte came to life. It’s delicate, cloud-like, and slightly indulgent, the kind of drink that feels like dessert in a cup.

Ingredients

(for one cup)

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your matcha
Make your matcha the way you usually like it. I skip the traditional whisk and strainer, a simple milk frother works perfectly for a smooth, airy blend.
  2. Whip the mascarpone
Using the frother, whisk the mascarpone until it becomes light, creamy, and almost fluffy.
  3. Layer it up
    • Add a small spoonful of mascarpone to the bottom of your glass.
    • Pour in warm milk and stir in the maple syrup.
    • Gently pour over your matcha, you’ll see it layer beautifully on top.
    • Add one more spoonful of mascarpone and dust with a touch of matcha powder for that final, dreamy look.
  4. Take a slow sip
The mascarpone melts into the warm milk, turning every sip creamier and softer. It’s cozy, balanced, and quietly luxurious, like a hug in a cup.

Notes

This recipe isn’t about precision, you don’t need special tools, just good ingredients and a few calm minutes to yourself. It’s for mornings when you want to feel grounded but also a little bit special.

Because sometimes, elegance lives in the simplest things, a soft blanket, gentle music, and your favorite cup of matcha.
